CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Exceptionally generous, bright, and maximally sunny environment! Here lies the main secret of this plant’s mighty trunk and magnificent flowers: the adenium is a child of the sun. For its caudex to grow thick, firm, and for the plant to regularly and boldly produce new flower buds, place it in the brightest spot (it needs and loves direct sunlight). If the light is insufficient, the plant will lose its compactness, the trunk will become soft, and it will categorically refuse to bloom. A south or west-facing windowsill is the perfect choice!

• 💧 Watering: Extremely moderate, infrequent, and very thoughtful. Since the adenium’s mighty caudex acts as a powerful water reservoir, the plant cannot tolerate constant moisture. Water the plant generously (so that the entire soil ball is soaked), but only when the soil in the pot is completely, 100% dry down to the bottom between waterings! Because the plant is in a 10.5 cm pot, it will dry out fairly quickly in summer, but the plant absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer—it will instantly cause rot of the precious caudex and roots. Golden rule: during winter months (the plant’s dormant period), reduce watering to a minimum—once a month or once every one and a half months is completely sufficient. If in doubt whether the trunk is firm—never water!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A heat-loving inhabitant of the tropics and deserts (ideally +20°C to +30°C). This succulent tolerates dry indoor air without any problems, the heat of the heating season, and does not require any misting or additional humidity. On the contrary—high humidity can harm it. Important rule: the adenium is extremely sensitive to cold—protect it from temperatures dropping below +12°C and from icy drafts in winter (when ventilating windows)!
