CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Exceptionally generous, bright, and maximally sunny conditions! This is the main secret behind the density and color of this plant’s rosettes: Aeonium is an absolute child of the sun. To keep its rosette compact and firm and encourage the famous pink or dark tones along the leaf edges, place it in the brightest spot in the room (it will particularly enjoy and needs direct sunlight). If the light is insufficient, the rosette will become thinner and the stem will stretch unattractively. A south- or west-facing windowsill is the perfect choice!

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and careful. Unlike many other desert cacti, Aeoniums have slightly thinner leaves and a more delicate root system, so they prefer a little more moisture, but they absolutely cannot tolerate living in a swamp. Water the plant thoroughly, but only when the soil in the pot has completely dried out between waterings! Since the plant is in a 10.5 cm pot, it will dry out moderately quickly in summer, but it absolutely cannot tolerate its roots or the base of its rosette soaking in standing water in the saucer, which can quickly cause rot. During the winter months, reduce watering to a minimum (once every 3–4 weeks).

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Feels excellent and comfortable in warm conditions (+18°C to +26°C). This plant tolerates dry indoor air, the heat of the heating season, and does not require misting or additional humidity at all. An important secret of nature: Aeoniums have a pronounced “summer dormancy period” – during very hot summer days, they may slow their growth slightly and close their rosette to conserve moisture (this is completely natural!). Protect it from temperatures below +10°C and icy drafts in winter.

• 🐾 Keep away from pets: Although Aeoniums are not considered highly poisonous, their succulent leaves may cause digestive tract irritation in cats and dogs if chewed. Place this magnificent sun rosette somewhere inaccessible to four-legged friends.

When you eventually repot it, you MUST use a special mineral-based, sandy, and highly porous cactus/succulent soil mix (rich in gravel, pumice, and perlite) to ensure that excess water drains through the pot immediately and the roots always remain dry and healthy.
