CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but MANDATORILY diffused light. Here lies the main secret of this plant’s hypnotic pattern: for the Aeschynanthus to maintain its famous marble coloring and purple underside, it needs a large amount of light (it will especially enjoy gentle morning or late evening sun rays). If the plant is kept in too much shade, the patterns will fade and the stems will stretch bare. However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will instantly burn its gorgeous, thick leaves. An east or west-facing windowsill is a perfect choice.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate, regular, and very thoughtful. Since its leaves are distinctly thick, fleshy, and succulent, the plant stores water reserves perfectly in them. Water the plant only when the topsoil and the middle layer (upper part of the pot) between waterings are completely dry! Because the plant is in a grand 19 cm pot, it retains moisture much longer, so the plant absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer or decorative pot, which will quickly cause sensitive root rot. If in doubt – feel free to wait a few more days.
