CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Extremely adaptable! To keep 'Apple Fantasy' its bright pink color, it will do best in bright, but MUST have indirect light (an east- or west-facing window). However, Aglaonemas are famous for their ability to thrive even in lower light and partial shade (in shade, the leaves may become slightly greener). Be sure to protect it from direct, scorching sunlight, which will quickly scorch those colorful leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and very careful – this plant will forgive you for forgetting to water it, but it won't forgive overwatering! Water the plant generously, but ONLY when the top half (or even 2/3) of the soil in the pot has completely dried out. Absolutely absolutely cannot tolerate its roots sitting in stagnant water in the saucer. If the leaves start turning yellow and soft in large numbers, it's a clear sign that the plant is being watered too often.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It thrives in normal room warmth (+18°C to +24°C). This tropical survivor is exceptionally well adapted to dry indoor air, but is extremely sensitive to cold! Protect it carefully from icy drafts and never keep it in a room, where the air temperature drops below +15°C.

• 🐾 Keep away from pets and children: Aglaonemas contain calcium oxalate crystals in all parts of the plant, which are toxic. Chewing or swallowing them causes a strong burning sensation in the mouth, swelling and digestive problems in dogs and cats. The plant's sap can also irritate the skin of sensitive people.

⚠️ A note and a dose of reality about aglaonemas: Plants are living organisms, and, even though aglaonema is one of the "hardiest" houseplants, it has its own natural growth cycle. An important botanical fact: As the plant grows taller and produces new leaves at the top, is completely normal, that the lowest leaves, older leaves occasionally turn yellow and dry out. This is not a sign of disease (unless it happens on a large scale due to overwatering), but the plant's natural trunk formation. Just cut off the old leaf! Also remember: the more colorful the foliage (like this pink variety), as it will need slightly more light than regular, dark green aglaonemas. When repotting, use a lightweight, a very airy, well-draining houseplant potting mix (blended with perlite and bark).
