It combines the stunning, embossed, dragon-scale-like leaf texture of the classic 'Dragon Scale' cultivar with a unique, soft mint-green coloration (variegation). CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but indirect light. To preserve this unique “mint” coloration and allow the plant to thrive, it vitally needs plenty of light. However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching sunlight, which will quickly burn its delicate leaves. An east-facing windowsill or high-quality artificial grow lights would be an absolutely excellent choice.

• 💧 Watering: Regular but extremely careful! Here lies the most important secret of young plants: small seedlings (especially rare alocasias) are VERY sensitive both to drying out and overwatering. Keep the soil evenly and lightly moist, but allow the surface layer to dry slightly. It absolutely cannot tolerate its roots sitting in stagnant water in the saucer, which will literally cause the roots and delicate stem to rot within just a few days.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It loves warmth and literally adores very high humidity! Since this is an exclusive and small seedling, a humidifier, plant cabinet, or glass terrarium is almost essential for this baby’s survival and flawless appearance. Strictly protect it from cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations!

• 🐾 Pets: Absolutely not pet-friendly. Like all alocasias, this plant is toxic to cats and dogs. Its sap contains calcium oxalate crystals, which cause severe oral irritation, drooling, and digestive problems when chewed. Keep it completely out of your pets’ reach!

🏠 IDEAL LOCATION:

• A bright plant cabinet or glass terrarium (an absolutely ideal and protected environment for rarities of this size, where they can enjoy constant “tropical greenhouse” humidity).

• A bright and warm spot right next to a humidifier.

⚠️ Note and a dose of reality about young plants: Plants are living organisms, so each baby plant, its leaf texture, and the intensity of its “mint” variegation may vary. It is extremely important to understand that you will receive a “baby” plant (in an 8 cm pot)! Rare young plants must be handled much more gently and patiently than mature plants. It is important to know nature’s secrets: alocasias very often sacrifice their old leaves for the sake of new ones! It is completely normal for the oldest, lowest leaf to slowly turn yellow and wither when a new, beautiful leaf emerges—do not panic. Once the plant has grown and its 8 cm pot becomes too small, when repotting, be sure to use an extremely airy and loose aroid soil mix (generously blended with perlite, fine orchid bark, and sphagnum moss) so its delicate roots can breathe freely!
