CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. To keep this unique "mint" coloration vivid and allow the plant to thrive, it needs a large amount of light. However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching sunlight, which will quickly burn its delicate leaves. An east-facing windowsill or good quality artificial plant lamps are an excellent choice.

• 💧 Watering: Regular but extremely careful! Here lies the main secret of seedling care: small seedlings (especially rare alocasias) are VERY sensitive to both drying out and overwatering. Keep the soil evenly lightly moist but allow the top layer to dry out slightly. It absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will cause root and fragile stem rot within a few days.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Loves warmth and literally adores very high air humidity! Since this is an exclusive and small seedling, a humidifier, plant terrarium, or glass terrarium is almost essential for its survival and flawless appearance. Strictly protect it from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes!

• 🐾 Pets: Strictly not pet-friendly. Like all alocasias, this plant is toxic to cats and dogs. Its sap contains calcium oxalate crystals, which cause severe oral irritation, drooling, and digestive issues if chewed. Keep it completely out of reach of pets!

🏠 BEST LOCATION:

• Bright plant terrarium or glass terrarium (an absolutely ideal and protected environment for such a small rarity, where it can enjoy constant "tropical greenhouse" humidity).

• Bright and warm spot near a humidifier.

⚠️ Note and reality check about seedlings: Plants are living organisms, so each baby, its leaf texture, and the intensity of the "mint" variegation may vary. It is extremely important to remember that you are receiving a "baby" (in an 8 cm pot)! Rare seedlings require much gentler and more patient care than mature plants. It is important to know nature’s secrets: alocasias often sacrifice their old leaves for the new ones! It is completely normal for the bottom (older) leaf to slowly yellow and dry out as a new, beautiful leaf grows – don’t panic. When the plant grows and the 8 cm pot becomes too small, repotting must be done using a very airy and loose aroid soil mix (generously mixed with perlite, fine orchid bark, and sphagnum moss) so its sensitive roots can breathe freely!
