CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but MANDATORILY diffused light. For this jewel alocasia to maintain its compact form and deep, relief leaf structure, it needs a large amount of light (it will especially enjoy gentle morning or late evening sun rays). However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will instantly burn its unusual leaves. An east or west-facing windowsill is a perfect choice.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and very thoughtful. As a jewel alocasia, it absolutely does not tolerate overwatering. Allow the top layer of soil and the middle layer (about the first third of the pot) to dry out completely between watering sessions! The plant strictly cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause sensitive root and tuber rot. Reduce watering significantly in winter.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A warmth-loving tropical resident (ideally +18°C to +25°C) that will be extremely happy with increased air humidity (above 55-60%). In dry indoor air, the unique edges of its leaves may start to dry out, so it will appreciate a spot near a humidifier, inside a closed plant cabinet, or on a pebble tray with water. Do not repot this plant immediately into a too large pot – this species prefers its roots to have a relatively compact environment. When you repot it in the future, be sure to use an extremely airy, loose aroid soil mix (generously mixed with dry orchid bark, coconut chips, and perlite) so the roots can breathe freely and excess water drains instantly through the pot.
