CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. To maintain the beautiful leaf contrast and pattern, it needs plenty of light, but strictly protect it from direct, scorching sunlight, which will instantly and irreversibly burn its textured leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and very careful. Begonias like evenly slightly moist soil but hate overwatering! Allow the top layer (about 2-3 cm) to dry out slightly between watering. Golden rule: since the leaves and stems are densely covered with hairs, avoid getting water on them! The best way to water the plant is from below (pour water into the saucer, let it absorb, then drain the excess) or very carefully along the edge of the pot.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Loves warmth and requires high air humidity. It will greatly appreciate the presence of a humidifier in the room or placement on a pebble tray with water. However, remember the most important thing – do not mist this plant to avoid fungal diseases and fuzzy leaf rot! Protect it strictly from cold drafts.

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs. It contains insoluble calcium oxalate crystals (especially concentrated in roots and stems), which cause severe mouth irritation, drooling, swelling, and vomiting if chewed. Keep it out of reach of your pets!

🏠 BEST LOCATION:

• Bright shelf in the living room or bedroom (as an expressive, sculptural design element near a window, protected from heating devices).

• Plant display case or glass cabinet (an absolutely ideal place to provide this exotic beauty with a stable and controlled tropical microclimate).
