CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. To maintain its stunning silvery shine and leaf contrast, the begonia needs a lot of light. However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will quickly burn its very delicate and fleshy leaves. An east or northwest windowsill is an absolutely great choice.

• 💧 Watering: Regular but extremely careful! Begonias like evenly slightly moist soil, but they are very sensitive to improper watering. The most important rule: when watering, the water MUST NOT come into contact with the plant’s leaves or fuzzy stems! Wetting the leaves almost always causes fungal diseases, unsightly brown spots, and rot. It is best to water the plant from below (pour water into the saucer, let the plant drink for 15-30 minutes, then strictly pour off excess water). This prevents root rot from standing water!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature. Begonias really like increased air humidity, but since their leaves are covered with fine hairs and texture, it is strictly forbidden to mist this plant’s leaves! To increase humidity, use a humidifier or place the pot on a tray with pebbles and water. Strictly protect from cold drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs. Chewing it (especially the lower part of the plant and rhizomes) can cause severe oral irritation, drooling, and vomiting. Keep it safely out of reach of pets!

🏠 MOST SUITABLE LOCATION:

• A bright windowsill in the bedroom or living room (where the plant receives morning or evening sun but is protected from the midday heat).

• Plant display case or a spot next to a humidifier (an absolutely ideal environment for its silvery leaves).

Begonia leaves and stems are extremely fragile and break easily, so handle them very gently. When repotting, use very airy, humus-rich, and light houseplant soil (with plenty of perlite mixed in), ensuring perfect drainage at the bottom of the pot.
