CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Moderate to medium bright, but MANDATORILY diffused light. In nature, this plant grows on the rainforest floor, under the shade of huge trees, so it loves gentle lighting. Strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will instantly burn and irreversibly fade its dark, neon-glowing leaves. An east or north-facing windowsill, or a spot a bit deeper inside the room, will be ideal.

• 💧 Watering: Regular, steady, and very balanced. Calatheas like consistent, pleasant moisture – their roots must not dry out completely, but they also must not sit in swampy water. Water only when the top layer of soil has just started to dry out! The plant absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause root rot. It is recommended to use soft, settled, or filtered room-temperature water.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A warmth-loving tropical resident (ideally +18°C to +24°C), which strictly requires high air humidity (above 55-60%). In dry indoor air caused by winter heating, the exotic leaf edges will quickly start to dry and curl. Therefore, 'Dottie' will be absolutely delighted to live near a humidifier, inside a closed plant cabinet, or on a pebble tray with water. Protect it strictly from cold drafts!
