CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Moderate to medium bright, but MANDATORILY diffused light. In nature, dichorisandra grows on the ground in the shade of huge tropical trees, so it is adapted to softer lighting. Strictly protect it from direct sunlight, which will instantly and irreversibly burn and bleach its dark, neon-glowing, and precious leaves. It will thrive deep inside a room, on an east or west-facing windowsill where the sun rays are gentle and indirect.

• 💧 Watering: Regular and very balanced. The plant likes stable and even moisture – the soil in the pot should feel pleasantly spongy (like a squeezed sponge). Allow only the top layer of soil to dry out between waterings! However, the plant must never sit in standing water in the saucer, as this will cause rot in the sensitive and juicy stems and root system. Do not let the entire pot turn into a desert.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A warmth-loving tropical resident (ideally +18°C to +25°C), which will be extremely happy with increased air humidity (above 60%). In normal dry indoor air, the exotic leaf edges will quickly start to dry and curl. Therefore, it will be absolutely delighted to live near a humidifier, inside a closed plant cabinet, or on a pebble tray with water. In winter, strictly protect it from cold drafts and icy windowsills!

• 🐾 Pets: Keep away from pets. Like many other exotic and rare tropical plants, dichorisandra is not recommended for curious cats and dogs to chew on. For safety, place it out of their reach.

This expensive tropical rarity must be handled gently, carefully, and patiently – it grows relatively slowly and unhurriedly, gradually forming its juicy stem structure. Do not immediately repot this small seedling into a too large pot. When you repot the plant in the future, be sure to use an excellently airy, light, yet consistently moisture-retentive soil mix (generously supplemented with perlite, coconut fibers, and some sphagnum moss) to ensure perfect water drainage at the bottom of the pot and allow the roots to breathe freely.
