CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright, generous, but ESSENTIAL indirect light. This is where the main secret to this plant’s lush green shoots and fragrant flowering lies: unlike desert cacti, the forest epiphyte Epiphyllum pumilum naturally grows on tree branches, so it needs filtered light (it will especially enjoy gentle morning sun). Strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sunlight, which can quickly burn and turn its flat shoots yellow. It will do best on an east- or west-facing windowsill and in a spot right near a window.

• 💧 Watering: Regular, moderate, and very careful. Epiphyllum enjoys consistently light moisture in the soil, but it does not tolerate roots sitting in stagnant water. Water the plant generously as soon as the top layer of soil (the upper 1–2 cm of the pot) has dried between waterings. The soil in the pot should be pleasantly moist, like a wrung-out sponge. Since the specimen is in a generous 14 cm pot, it will retain moisture well, but the plant strictly cannot tolerate its roots sitting in stagnant water in a saucer or decorative pot, which can quickly cause root rot.
