This extremely unusual, contrasting, and desert-like Lovely Euphorbia, more widely known as "Christ's Thorn," is a true combination of resilience and delicate beauty! It stands out with its robust, thick, and long thorn-covered stems crowned with bright green leaves. But its greatest treasure is the ability to produce delicate, pure white flowers (more precisely – bracts) almost continuously throughout the year, creating a stunning contrast with the wild thorns! It is an incredibly patient, sun-loving, and drought-resistant houseplant that will add a sculptural, bold, and slightly dramatic natural accent to any interior. It is an ideal, joy-enhancing, and very easy-to-care-for gift for experienced cactus and succulent lovers, as well as for those who tend to forget regular watering of their plants in the daily rush!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Maximum bright light and DIRECT sunlight! This is the key secret to this plant’s flowering: for the euphorbia to continuously produce white flower buds and maintain lush foliage, it needs a large amount of sunlight. A south or southwest windowsill is the absolutely only and correct choice. In too dark a place, it will not flower and will drop its leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Rare and very careful. As a member of the succulent family, its thick stems store water. Allow the soil to dry out completely between watering! It absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will literally cause root and stem rot within a few days. In winter, reduce watering to an absolute minimum.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives in warmth and literally loves normal, very dry indoor air. This plant must never be misted! In summer, it can safely be placed outside in a sunny spot on a balcony or terrace, but protect it from cold drafts in winter.

• 🐾 Pets and children: Absolutely not friendly – VERY DANGEROUS! In addition to the long and sharp thorns, every part of this plant contains extremely toxic white sap (latex). Contact with skin or eyes causes severe irritation, burns, and mucous membrane swelling, and ingestion leads to serious poisoning. Keep it completely out of reach of pets and children!

🏠 MOST SUITABLE LOCATION:

• The sunniest south-facing windowsill (an absolute prerequisite for long-lasting and spectacular flowering).

• A bright and sunny terrace in summer (where it will enjoy warmth and fresh air).

It is important to know nature’s secrets: euphorbia tends to naturally drop its green leaves under stress conditions (such as sudden temperature changes, drying out, or lack of light in autumn), leaving only bare, thorny stems and flowers – this is a normal defense mechanism, not the plant’s death! When conditions improve, the leaves will regrow. Safety warning: When repotting or pruning this plant, ALWAYS wear thick protective gloves to protect yourself from both thorns and the toxic white sap! Use only an extremely well-lit cactus and succulent soil mix, richly combined with perlite, sand, and fine gravel for good drainage when repotting.
