Fittonia (Fittonia)

This charming and delicate Fittonia, often called the “nerve plant” because of its striking and delicate leaf veins, is a true wonder of color and natural patterns. It is an ideal, compact, and highly decorative houseplant that will add a noticeable and cheerful accent to any interior with its vivid pink, white, or red leaves. It makes a wonderful and very “talkative” gift for nature lovers, as Fittonia will never let you forget to water it—when thirsty, it will dramatically droop its leaves, but just a few hours after watering, they will perk right back up!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: A bright location with indirect light or partial shade. The plant needs light to maintain its beautiful, contrasting leaf veins, but it must be strictly protected from direct sunlight, which will quickly fade and scorch its delicate leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Regular. Keep the soil constantly and evenly moist, but do not allow the roots to sit in waterlogged soil. Fittonia does not tolerate prolonged drying out. When you notice the plant’s leaves beginning to wilt and bend downward, it is a clear sign that it needs watering immediately.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It loves warmth and very high humidity. The plant will be extremely grateful for regular, fine misting (especially in the dry air of the heating season) or the presence of a humidifier. Protect it from cold drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly. This vibrant wonder of nature is non-toxic and completely safe to keep in your home with cats and dogs.

🏠 BEST ROOM:

• Glass florarium or plant terrarium (an absolutely ideal environment for providing the plant with the tropical humidity it needs so much).

• Bathroom with a window (the plant will literally enjoy the warmth and humidity that naturally prevail there).

• Office desk in a shadier part of the room (a small, colorful, and motivating accent for the workday).
