Royal Boat Haworthia (Haworthia cymbiformis)

Get ready to bring absolute botanical resilience, nature’s geometry, and one of the most rewarding succulents in the houseplant world into your home or onto your desk - the stunning Boat Haworthia (Haworthia cymbiformis)! This masterpiece of South African nature is a real find for lovers of delicate textures and lush forms. The plant’s greatest pride, its main attraction and unmistakable calling card is its breathtaking foliage: light green, exceptionally fleshy, boat-shaped leaves form a dense rosette. At the very tips of each leaf are natural "transparent windows" (fenestrations), which help the plant capture light in nature. It is currently a perfectly formed, strong, and remarkably dense 5–10 cm plant (which will form a large cluster of pups over time) in a generous 12 cm pot. This is the most prestigious, tasteful, and reliable gift for a housewarming, busy office workers, beginner plant owners, and anyone looking for a visually striking, yet completely self-sufficient wonder of nature!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • ☀️ Light: Bright, but MUST be indirect light. Unlike cacti, haworthia absolutely cannot tolerate direct, scorching midday sun. In overly strong, hot sun, its light green leaves will turn reddish-brown or grayish and may dry out. An east- or west-facing windowsill will be absolutely ideal.

  • 💧 Watering: Extremely infrequent, minimal, and very careful! This plant is a true succulent, storing all the water it needs in its fleshy "boats." Water the plant thoroughly, but ONLY when the soil in the pot is completely, 100% dry all the way to the very bottom of the pot! Most importantly: NEVER pour water directly into the center of the rosette, because standing water in the leaf axils will quickly cause the plant to rot from the inside. It’s best to water it from below.

  • 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It thrives in normal, comfortable room temperatures (+18°C to +25°C). This desert plant handles dry indoor air with absolutely no problem, the heat of the heating season, and requires absolutely no misting.

  • 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly / Non-toxic. Haworthias are completely non-toxic and absolutely safe to have at home with curious cats and dogs.

🏠 BEST ROOM:

  • Bright desks, computer desks, bookshelves, and narrow windowsills, where this structured, lush plant will catch the eye without taking up much space.

  • Modern, minimalist, Japanese (Zen), or boho-style interiors, where clean natural shapes and translucent textures create perfect visual harmony.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Height: 5–10 cm

  • Pot diameter: 12 cm

⚠️ A note and a reality check about haworthias: Plants are living organisms, and this species is known for producing lots of offsets (pups) – over time, a single rosette will grow into a lush cluster, completely filling the pot. They have remarkably thick, fleshy roots. The greatest risk to this plant is overwatering. If the leaves start to turn yellow, become "jelly-like", translucent, and rot at the base, you are drowning the plant. On the other hand, if the firm leaves become sunken, thinner, and start to lose their volume, the plant is simply thirsty (water it thoroughly, and they will plump back up like little water balloons). When you repot it in the future, BE SURE to use a special, highly mineralized, coarse cactus/succulent soil mix, generously mixed with gravel, pumice, or perlite.

🌡️ COLD TIME! If the outside temperature is below +5°C, be sure to add a heat pack to the order so that plants and predatory mites do not freeze on the way.

❄️ In cold weather, we recommend choosing Smartpost parcel lockers, as they provide indoor delivery, reducing the impact of low temperatures on the shipment.

⚠️ Important about the heating element! ‼️ 1 heating element per 1 order – it is not necessary to put one for each plant. ‼️ Provides heat for up to 72 hours. Without a heating element – we do not take responsibility for frozen plants and predatory mites.

📦 Pick it up promptly! When the package has been delivered, collect it the same day. Do not leave the package in the parcel locker overnight! Cold and heat can damage the plants and predatory mites.
