Royal Zebra Haworthia (Haworthiopsis attenuata)

Get ready to bring absolute botanical geometry, the resilience of the African deserts, and one of the most recognizable and stylish succulents in the houseplant world into your home or onto your desk - the stunning Zebra Haworthia (Haworthiopsis attenuata, formerly classified as Haworthia attenuata)! This masterpiece of nature is a real find for lovers of graphic patterns, striking textures, and minimalism. The plant's greatest pride, its magnet and unmistakable calling card, is its breathtaking foliage: dark green, pointed, firm leaves grow in a dense, upward-facing star-shaped rosette and are generously covered with raised, bright white bumps that form striking crosswise stripes, perfectly resembling a zebra's pattern. This contrasting, "bumpy" texture practically invites you to touch it! Right now, it is perfectly formed, strong, and distinctly compact, a 5–10 cm plant (which will grow into a whole family, or cluster, over time) in a generous 12 cm pot. It's the most prestigious, tasteful, and reliable gift for housewarmings, busy office workers, children's rooms, and anyone looking for a visually stunning yet absolutely undemanding natural wonder!

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  • ☀️ Light: Bright, but indirect light. Although this Haworthia is a little more tolerant of sun than transparent Haworthias, it too is best protected from direct, scorching midday sun. In overly strong, hot sunlight, its dark green leaves will turn reddish-brown and may dry out. An east- or west-facing windowsill is absolutely ideal.

  • 💧 Watering: Extremely infrequent, minimal, and very careful! This plant is a true succulent, which tolerates long periods of drought. Water the plant thoroughly, but ONLY when the soil in the pot is completely, 100% dry all the way down to the bottom of the pot! Most importantly: NEVER pour water directly into the center of the rosette, as standing water in the leaf axils will quickly cause the plant to rot from the inside. Bottom watering is best.

  • 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: They thrive in comfortable, typical room temperatures (+18°C to +25°C). This desert plant handles dry indoor air without any problems at all, the heat of the heating season, and requires absolutely no misting.

  • 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly / Non-toxic. Haworthias are completely non-toxic and absolutely safe to have in your home with curious cats and dogs.

🏠 BEST ROOM:

  • Bright desks, children's rooms, computer desks, and bookshelves, where this graphic, tactile natural design element will catch the eye without taking up much space.

  • Modern, Scandinavian, Japanese (Zen), or boho-style interiors, where clean geometric lines and bold natural patterns create perfect visual harmony.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Height: 5–10 cm

  • Pot diameter: 12 cm

⚠️ A note and a dose of reality about haworthias: Plants are living organisms, and when growing this desert dweller, it's important to understand one essential fact - haworthias grow extremely slowly! They can stay in the same pot for years, slowly growing little "babies" alongside them. This slow growth is a great bonus for owners of compact spaces. The biggest risk to this plant is "too much love" when watering. If the leaves start to turn yellow, become soft at the base, or the entire rosette can be moved easily - the plant's roots have rotted from overwatering. On the other hand, if the firm leaves start curling inward, become noticeably thinner and their tips start to dry out, the plant is simply thirsty. When you repot it in the future, BE SURE to use a special, highly mineralized, coarse cactus/succulent potting mix, generously mixed with gravel or perlite.

🌡️ COLD TIME! If the outside temperature is below +5°C, be sure to add a heat pack to the order so that plants and predatory mites do not freeze on the way.

❄️ In cold weather, we recommend choosing Smartpost parcel lockers, as they provide indoor delivery, reducing the impact of low temperatures on the shipment.

⚠️ Important about the heating element! ‼️ 1 heating element per 1 order – it is not necessary to put one for each plant. ‼️ Provides heat for up to 72 hours. Without a heating element – we do not take responsibility for frozen plants and predatory mites.

📦 Pick it up promptly! When the package has been delivered, collect it the same day. Do not leave the package in the parcel locker overnight! Cold and heat can damage the plants and predatory mites.
