Royal Earth-Toned Amaryllis 'Terra Cotta Star' (Hippeastrum 'Terra Cotta Star')

Get ready to bring absolute botanical warmth, a cozy natural aesthetic, and the most unusual blooming show in the world of houseplants into your home - the stunning Amaryllis 'Terra Cotta Star'! This exclusive masterpiece of nature is a true find for lovers of rare, warm, and natural earth tones. The plant's greatest pride, magnet, and unique hallmark are its breathtaking flowers: on a strong, upright flower stalk, large, elegant, star-shaped flowers bloom in an absolutely unique shade of terracotta, warm peach, and salmon pink, richly veined with delicate, darker reddish-brown lines and adorned with a lighter flower throat. This rich, autumnal/spring-like color palette literally warms the room and creates an incredibly harmonious, soothing atmosphere. The plant is currently available as a strong, large bulb fully prepared for blooming (without a pot or soil). It is the most prestigious, tasteful, and interactive gift for blessing a home, natural interior enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to experience this fascinating magic of nature with their own eyes - from planting a "bare" bulb to a grand blooming triumph!

CARE AND PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • ☀️ Light: While the bulb is being planted and has not yet produced a shoot, the amount of light is not very important. However, as soon as the flower stalk appears and begins rapidly stretching upward, place it in the brightest possible location (in bright, indirect light). If there is not enough light, the flower stalk will become leggy and fragile and may break under the weight of the large flowers.

  • 💧 Watering: The golden rule of planting and watering! Plant the bulb so that at least 1/3 (or even half) of the bulb itself remains above the soil surface. At first, while the bulb has not developed roots and a green shoot, water it hardly at all or keep the soil only minimally moist. As soon as the flower stalk has grown (around 5-10 cm), begin watering regularly, but never allow the bulb to stand in stagnant water!

  • 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: To awaken the bulb and encourage its growth, it initially needs room warmth (+20°C to +24°C). However, once the warm terracotta flowers have fully bloomed, move the plant to a slightly cooler location - the coolness will keep the flowers fresh and allow them to delight you for considerably longer! Additional air humidification is not necessary.

  • 🐾 Keep away from pets and children: Amaryllis bulbs, as well as their leaves and flowers, are highly toxic (they contain lycorine and other alkaloids). Ingestion causes severe vomiting and digestive tract disorders in dogs and cats. Store the bulb and, later, the flowering plant out of their reach!

🏠 MOST SUITABLE ROOM:

  • Formal dining tables, solid-wood dressers, coffee tables, and sunny windowsills, where this warm and expressive blooming show will serve as the central design element and bring the breath of nature into the room.

  • Boho, "rustic" (country chic), Scandinavian, or eclectic-style interiors, where warm earth tones (terracotta, ochre, wood) and clean natural lines create absolute visual coziness.

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Condition: Strong, healthy bulb prepared for blooming (supplied without soil or pot, ready for your chosen planting project)

  • Expected height: Once the flower stalk reaches full maturity, the plant will be approximately 40-50 cm tall.

⚠️ Note and a dose of reality about amaryllis: Bulbs are living energy reserves! An important dose of reality: from planting the bulb to the opening of the first flowers, it usually takes approximately 6 to 8 weeks. Be patient! The biggest mistake people make is overwatering the "bare" bulb immediately after planting, which causes it to rot before it has even had time to awaken. For planting, you MUST use a light, very well-draining houseplant substrate and a pot with holes in the bottom. Once flowering is over, do not cut off the long, green leaves - they will continue feeding the bulb so that it can build up strength and bloom again next year!

📦 Pick it up promptly! When the package has been delivered, collect it the same day. Do not leave the package in the parcel locker overnight! Cold and heat can damage the plants and predatory mites.
