CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but indirect light. To maintain its fantastic variegation and produce its famous pink (flamingo) new leaves, the hoya needs plenty of light. In a location that is too dark, the plant will begin to lose its pink and white tones, becoming simply green. Protect it rigorously from direct, scorching midday sun, which will quickly burn the light-colored areas of the leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Infrequent and very careful. Hoya leaves are thick and fleshy (they store water just like succulents), so they tolerate drying out much better than overwatering! Allow the soil to dry out almost completely between waterings. Since the plant is in a relatively small (9 cm) pot, expect the soil to dry slightly faster than in large pots, but remember—it absolutely cannot tolerate its roots soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause root rot.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: It thrives at standard room temperature and adapts well to typical indoor air. As a tropical plant, it will not mind slightly higher humidity, but it should not be misted excessively. Protect it strictly from cold drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly. This magnificent vine is non-toxic and completely safe to keep in your home with curious cats and dogs.

• A bright shelf or small hanging pot (allowing its colorful pink vines to trail down freely and elegantly).

• A bright windowsill (if you plan to provide it with a support to climb around and form a lush, vertical shape).

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and the intensity of its pink coloring may vary slightly (the more indirect light it receives, the brighter the new shoots will be!). It is important to know one of nature's secrets about hoyas: they often suddenly produce long, "bare" vines without leaves. Never cut them off! Over time, both new leaves and flower clusters may develop on these vines. Also remember—when the hoya has finished flowering, do not cut off the old flower stalk, because new flowers will form from that same stalk the following year! When repotting, be sure to use very airy, loose soil (a houseplant mix generously amended with orchid bark and perlite works perfectly) so that the epiphytic roots can breathe freely.
