CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but MANDATORILY diffused light. Here lies the main secret of this plant’s beauty: for the Hoya to maintain such an intense, pure silver mosaic pattern on its leaves and have the energy to climb, it needs a large amount of light (it will especially enjoy the gentle morning or late evening sun rays). However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays that will instantly burn its flat leaves. An east or west-facing windowsill is an excellent choice.

• 💧 Watering: Very careful and moderate. Since its leaves are tightly pressed to the support, moisture under them is retained longer. Allow the soil base to dry out thoroughly between watering sessions! The plant absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water, which will quickly cause rot of the sensitive roots and leaf bases. It is best to water when the substrate feels completely dry.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A warmth-loving tropical resident (ideally +20°C to +26°C), which will be extremely happy with increased air humidity (above 60%). High air humidity is vital for its aerial roots under the leaves to function successfully and help the new leaves press tightly against the support surface. It will be absolutely delighted to live near a humidifier or in a plant cabinet/vitrine. In winter, strictly protect it from cold drafts!

🏠 MOST SUITABLE LOCATION:

• A bright and warm spot on a shelf or windowsill in the morning/evening sun, providing the plant with a stable vertical surface (wooden board, bark, or moss pole) for its leaves to "climb" and press against.

• Plant vitrines, florariums, or terrariums, where this plant’s unique flat geometry and high humidity level will help it develop in full splendor.

⚠️ Note and reality check about wax flowers: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and the exact density of its silvery spots on the leaves may vary slightly. It is important to know nature’s secrets: this Hoya CANNOT grow downward as a freely hanging plant. If it does not have a flat surface to press its leaves against, it will start sending out long, bare tendrils desperately searching for support. When the plant outgrows the existing support, simply extend it with a wooden board or piece of bark. When repotting this plant in the future, be sure to use a very airy, loose, and porous epiphyte/araceae soil mix (generously mixed with large orchid bark pieces, coconut chips, and perlite) so the roots receive maximum oxygen and excess moisture drains instantly through the pot.
