This extremely rare, majestic, and visually breathtaking Hoya or Wax Flower 'Sarawak Cream' is a true "holy grail" for houseplant collectors! The classic 'Sarawak' (named after the Malaysian region) is famous worldwide for its huge, almost perfectly round, fleshy, and finely veined leaves. However, this 'Cream' (variegated) version is even more special – its large leaf edges are adorned with bold, thick, creamy white or yellowish variegation. When receiving enough light, these bright edges can even turn a soft pink! Currently, it is a small seedling, but over time it will grow into an impressive, large-scale, air-purifying vine that will add a luxurious, tropical, and very romantic natural accent to any interior. CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. Here lies the secret of this plant’s bright edges: the white and cream-colored parts of the leaves contain no chlorophyll, so this plant requires a higher amount of light to survive and grow than fully green hoyas. However, strictly protect it from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will instantly burn and brown its delicate bright edges. An east-facing windowsill is an absolutely perfect choice.

• 💧 Watering: Rare and very careful. As an epiphyte, its large, tough leaves work perfectly as water reservoirs. Allow the top layer and the middle layer of the soil to dry out thoroughly between waterings! It absolutely cannot tolerate root soaking in standing water in the saucer, which will quickly cause root rot. The best indicator: if the leaves are firm and stiff, the plant does not need watering; if they become a bit softer – it’s time to drink.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature. Being a large-leaf tropical plant, it literally loves increased air humidity! In dry indoor air, the beautiful cream-colored leaf edges are the first to start browning and drying out. A humidifier nearby will be a fantastic helper. In winter, strictly protect it from icy drafts!

⚠️ Note and reality check about wax flowers: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and the thickness of its cream variegation may vary. It is extremely important to remember that you are receiving a seedling! Rare seedlings must be handled much more gently than mature plants. It is important to know nature’s secrets: hoyas naturally grow as vines and very often produce long, "bare" shoots (vines) that initially have no leaves. Never cut these off! This is a normal growth process – when the long vine finds support or enough light, new, large leaves will slowly start to develop on it. And remember the most important flowering rule: when the wax flower blooms in the future, never cut off the dry flower stalk! Hoyas form new flower buds the next year from the same old flower stalks. When repotting this plant, it is strictly forbidden to use dense houseplant soil! You MUST use an extremely airy aroid or epiphyte soil mix (generously mixed with large orchid bark pieces, coconut chips, and perlite) so its roots can breathe freely.
