This extremely exclusive, mystical, and breathtaking Labisia (known in many tropical regions as Kacip Fatimah) is a true aristocrat of the tropical plant world and a dream for any passionate collector! This unique understory rainforest dweller comes from the depths of Malaysian jungles and stands out with stunning, almost unreal leaf beauty. Its elongated, velvety, and leathery leaves are so dark green that in slanting light they appear almost black or deep violet. The leaf surface is adorned with a striking, contrasting, and bright light pink or cream-colored venation running through the entire leaf midrib, creating a sophisticated and bold visual impression. Currently, it is a compact young plant, but it is an exceptionally exotic and sculptural houseplant that will add a mysterious, luxury-class wild jungle atmosphere to any interior. CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Moderate to medium bright, but MANDATORILY diffused light. In nature, labisia grows on the ground in the shade of huge trees, so it is adapted to softer lighting. Strictly protect it from direct sunlight, which will instantly and irreversibly burn and fade its dark, velvety, and precious leaves. It will thrive deep inside a room, on an east or north-facing windowsill, or under artificial plant lighting (LED lamps).

• 💧 Watering: Regular and very balanced. Unlike succulents or hoyas, labisia likes stable and consistent moisture. The soil in the pot should be pleasantly spongy (like a squeezed sponge), but it must never be swampy wet or sitting in standing water, as this will cause sensitive root rot. Do not let the soil dry out completely!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Here lies the greatest secret of this plant’s existence: labisia is a distinctly warmth-loving plant (ideally +20°C to +26°C) and it strictly requires high air humidity (above 60-70%). In normal dry indoor air, its leaf edges will quickly start to dry and curl. Therefore, it will be absolutely delighted to live near a humidifier, in a closed glass terrarium, florarium, or plant showcase. Protect it from cold drafts and proximity to heating radiators!

• 🐾 Pets: Friendly. Labisia is non-toxic and completely safe in your home with curious cats and dogs.

🏠 MOST SUITABLE ROOM:

• Closed plant showcase, florarium, terrarium, or warm bathroom with a window (ideal and natural environment to provide the necessary high air humidity).

• Bright room near a humidifier, where the plant is protected from direct sunlight.

⚠️ Note and dose of reality: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and the brightness of its pink venation or leaf tone may vary slightly. It is extremely important to keep in mind that you are receiving a young plant! This tropical treasure must be handled gently and patiently – labisia grows relatively slowly and unhurriedly. When repotting this plant in the future, use a very light, airy, yet moisture-retentive soil mix (for example, peat substrate generously mixed with perlite, sphagnum moss, and fine orchid bark) so the roots get oxygen but do not dry out.
