The royal and exclusive neon Monstera 'Lemon Lime' (Monstera deliciosa 'Lemon Lime')
Get ready to bring absolute botanical luxury, tropical sunshine and one of the newest, most coveted hits among houseplant collectors into your home – the stunning Monstera 'Lemon Lime'! This masterpiece of nature is a true, exclusive find for the most discerning "urban jungle" enthusiasts and lovers of lush, vibrant colors. The plant’s greatest pride, its magnet and unmistakable signature is its breathtakingly vivid foliage: unlike the classic white 'Albo' or cream-colored 'Thai Constellation', the leaves of the 'Lemon Lime' variety boast a dramatic, sharp contrast between a deep emerald-green base color and bright neon-green, yellow (lime and lemon) variegation and streaks! This brilliantly vivid coloring instantly creates an effect of freshness and a ball of light in any room. It is currently an extremely exclusive, compact 10-15 cm baby plant in a tiny 6 cm growing pot. It is the most prestigious, vibrant and intriguing gift for experienced plant collectors and anyone who wants to grow an impressive, expensive and extraordinarily rare natural sculpture from a tiny seed in their home!
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
-
☀️ Light: An abundance of bright, but MUST be indirect (filtered) light. Here lies the secret to this plant’s lime-green color: to maintain such rich, vivid coloration (variegation), it desperately needs plenty of natural light! In low light, new leaves may lose their neon brightness. But it absolutely cannot tolerate direct, scorching midday sun – the colored parts of the leaves will quickly burn in the sun and develop ugly, brown scorch marks.
-
💧 Watering: Very careful and moderate! This tiny baby plant in a 6 cm pot is extremely sensitive to fluctuations in moisture. Water the plant ONLY when the top half of the soil (or even 2/3 of the pot) is completely dry. It absolutely cannot tolerate its roots sitting in standing water in the saucer (this will cause the roots to rot very quickly, and the little plant will die).
-
🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A lover of warmth and EXTREMELY high humidity! It thrives in warm tropical indoor conditions (+20°C to +27°C). This exclusive rarity absolutely hates hot, dry air from heating radiators and icy drafts. To keep its colorful leaves from browning at the edges, it desperately needs high humidity (a humidifier, a pebble tray, or growing it in a glass cabinet).
-
🐾 Keep away from pets and children: Like all members of the arum family (Araceae), monsteras contain calcium oxalate crystals throughout every part of the plant, which are highly toxic. Chewing or swallowing them causes a strong burning sensation in the mouth, swelling of the lips and throat, and severe digestive problems in dogs and cats.
🏠 BEST ROOM:
-
Glass plant cabinets (IKEA greenhouses), bright bookshelves near east-facing windows, and rooms where a humidifier runs constantly, will provide this treasure with ideal conditions for growing up and thriving.
-
Collector, minimalist, or light Scandinavian interiors, where this visually striking neon plant, once it grows, will become the absolute focal point of the room's energy and design.
SPECIFICATIONS:
-
Height: 10-15 cm (you will receive a small and delicate baby plant, which requires patience and love!)
-
Pot diameter: 6 cm (miniature starter/growing pot)
⚠️ A note and a reality check about monsteras and the specifics of 'Lemon Lime': Plants are living organisms, and when purchasing this botanical wonder, it is critically important that you understand three key things to avoid disappointment! First, managing expectations: the first photo in the gallery shows a huge, mature specimen with fenestrated leaves, to demonstrate the breathtaking future potential of this species! When you purchase this item, you will receive a young, 10-15 cm small plant, whose leaves are currently completely whole (without holes or splits). Second, for your baby plant to develop fenestrations in the future, as it grows, you MUST insert a moist moss pole into the pot, for it to climb (as it climbs, the plant physically understands that it should start producing larger leaves)! Third, neon variegation (coloration) is natural and unstable - every new leaf will be a complete surprise. One will be greener, another distinctly yellower! When you repot it into a slightly larger pot in the future, be SURE to use a very airy, coarse, well-draining houseplant substrate (aroid mix), generously mixed with perlite, pine bark, and coconut fiber.
🌡️ COLD TIME! If the outside temperature is below +5°C, be sure to add a heat pack to the order so that plants and predatory mites do not freeze on the way.
❄️ In cold weather, we recommend choosing Smartpost parcel lockers, as they provide indoor delivery, reducing the impact of low temperatures on the shipment.
⚠️ Important about the heating element! ‼️ 1 heating element per 1 order – it is not necessary to put one for each plant. ‼️ Provides heat for up to 72 hours. Without a heating element – we do not take responsibility for frozen plants and predatory mites.
📦 Pick it up promptly! When the package has been delivered, collect it the same day. Do not leave the package in the parcel locker overnight! Cold and heat can damage the plants and predatory mites.
