This is the secret to this plant's survival: since its leaves contain very little green pigment (chlorophyll), it is much harder for the plant to produce energy for itself. It needs as much natural light as possible or a good grow light! However, it absolutely cannot tolerate direct, scorching midday sun - the white parts of the leaves will burn in the sun in an instant and turn into brown scraps of paper.

• 💧 Watering: Very careful and moderate! This tiny baby plant in a 6 cm pot is extremely sensitive. Water the plant ONLY when the top half of the soil has completely dried out. It absolutely cannot tolerate its roots sitting in standing water in the saucer (this will cause the roots to rot rapidly, and the plant will die within a few days).

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: A lover of warmth and EXTREMELY high humidity! It thrives in tropical indoor temperatures (+20°C to +26°C). This exclusive rarity absolutely hates hot, dry air from heating radiators and cold drafts. First, manage your expectations: the first photo in the gallery shows a huge, mature specimen with fenestrated leaves, to demonstrate this species' breathtaking potential in the future! When you purchase this product, you will receive a young, small 10-15 cm plant, whose leaves are currently completely solid (without holes or splits). Second, for your baby plant to develop holes (fenestrations) in the future, as it grows, you MUST place a moist moss pole in the pot, for it to climb up! Third, the white and green coloring on 'White Monster' leaves is not stable - it is dynamic! It is completely normal for the plant to produce an almost white leaf that later starts to turn a little greener, into a "mint" shade, or vice versa. Also keep in mind that the white parts of the leaves (which contain no chlorophyll) are extremely delicate and can develop brown, dry spots over time - that's the price of extreme variegation. When you repot it in the future, be sure to use a very airy, coarse and exceptionally well-draining potting mix for houseplants (aroid mix), generously blended with perlite, pine bark and coco coir.
