Parthenocissus or Indoor Ivy (Parthenocissus)

This delicate and graceful Parthenocissus (often also called indoor ivy or sugar vine depending on the species) is a wonderful, climbing, and fast-growing houseplant. Its decorative, often five-lobed or silvery-veined leaves and fine, flexible shoots will bring a true forest or jungle atmosphere to your home's interior. It can elegantly hang down from a shelf or climb a small plant support, creating a lush green wall. It makes a great and unpretentious gift for any nature lover who wants to add a dynamic and lively accent to their space.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright, diffused light or partial shade. To develop a dense foliage and maintain beautiful color, the plant needs light, but it must be protected from direct midday sun, which can quickly fade and burn the delicate leaves.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and regular. Keep the soil lightly and evenly moist, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. The plant will not tolerate prolonged soaking in standing water (which will rot the roots), but severe drying out can cause leaf drop.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature and tolerates drier indoor air well. However, the plant will appreciate periodic misting (especially during the winter heating season) and dusting off the leaves. Protect from cold drafts and direct heat from heaters.

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. Like many plants in the grape family, it is toxic to cats and dogs if ingested (contains calcium oxalate crystals), so place this trailing beauty out of reach of your pets.

🏠 BEST ROOM:

• Bright living room (placed on a high bookshelf or cabinet, allowing the vines to elegantly cascade down).

• Bedroom (will bring a romantic, airy, and calming forest atmosphere).

• Bathroom with a window (the plant will enjoy the higher humidity there, rapidly growing new shoots).
