Pentas or Egyptian Star Cluster (Pentas lanceolata)

This charming and abundantly flowering Pentas, often called the "Egyptian Star Cluster" worldwide, is truly a vibrant and cheerful houseplant. It stands out with its slightly fuzzy, dark green leaves and impressive, large flower clusters made up of dozens of small, five-pointed star-like flowers. Depending on the variety, they can be bright red, pink, lilac, or white. CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright light with some direct sunlight. To bloom beautifully and continuously, it needs plenty of light. A south, west, or east-facing windowsill is an excellent choice. If light is insufficient, the plant will weaken and stop producing flower buds.

• 💧 Watering: Regular. Keep the soil evenly moist but never let the plant sit in standing water (this quickly causes root rot). Allow only the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings. The plant poorly tolerates complete drying out, often responding by dropping leaves and flowers.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Loves warmth and thrives at standard room temperature. In the warm summer months, this plant will literally bloom with happiness if placed outside—on a sunny balcony or terrace (plus, it’s a big butterfly favorite!). Protect it from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes in winter. Special misting is not necessary.

• 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly. This flowering beauty is non-toxic and completely safe to have around cats and dogs in your home.

🏠 BEST LOCATION:

• Sunny living room or bedroom (near a window to provide energy for blooming).

• Sunny balcony or terrace in summer (it will thrive outdoors in fresh air during warm months).

• Bright kitchen (as a cheerful and colorful accent on the windowsill).
