A Natural and Effective Solution for Pest Control

Are annoying spider mites or thrips damaging your houseplants? Predator mites are the most effective and environmentally friendly way to get rid of pests without using harmful chemicals.

These small, beneficial insects (about 1 mm in size) are your plants’ personal army – they actively hunt and eat pests, interrupting their reproductive cycle. They are intended for use indoors, on houseplants, as well as in greenhouses and covered areas.

Please note that this is a group order. We do not breed or package the predator mites ourselves – we place orders directly with the leading manufacturer, "Koppert", to ensure that you receive the freshest and most effective product possible.

• Shipping dates: Predator mites are shipped 2 times a month on specific dates (see the notice at the top of the page), when we have received a fresh delivery.

• Freshness: As soon as they arrive from the manufacturer, they are immediately packaged and sent to you on the next working day.

• Pack: The sachets are sold in packs of 5. The price per pack (5 pcs.) is €8.50.

Which Pests Do Predator Mites Fight?

Our predator mites are a solution for combating the most common pests at their various stages of development:

• Common spider mite (Tetranychus urticae)

• European red mite (Panonychus ulmi)

• Red citrus mite (Panonynchus citri)

• Young larvae of various thrips species

• Whitefly eggs and larvae

• Broad mite (Polyphagotarsonemus latus)

• Strawberry mite (Tarsonemus pallidus)

Important: Predator mites are not effective on tomatoes. The hairy structure of tomato leaves makes it difficult for the mites to move around.

How Many Sachets Do I Need?

The dosage depends on the arrangement of the plants and the severity of the infestation.

• For prevention / Low infestation: 1 sachet per 1–2 m² (if the plant leaves are touching) OR 1 sachet for each separately standing plant.

• Severe infestation: We recommend using more packages (e.g., doubling the dose) so that the predator mites can deal with the pests more quickly.

The sachet contains predator mites at all stages of development (eggs, larvae, adult mites), so it works continuously for approximately 6 weeks, providing a constant supply of new "soldiers".

To achieve complete control of the pest population, 2–3 releases of predator mites are usually required.

How to Use Predator Mites Correctly?

Application is extremely simple, but a few important rules must be followed:

1. Hang up the sachets: Hang the sachets on the plant’s branches or leaf stems, preferably closer to the middle of the plant and protected from direct sunlight.

2. DO NOT OPEN! The sachets must never be torn or opened. They already contain microscopic holes through which the mites will gradually emerge on their own.

3. NO CHEMICALS: While the predator mites are active, do not spray the plants with insecticides (including neem oil or green soap), as this will also kill the beneficial insects.

4. DO NOT WASH: Do not rinse the plants with a water shower or clean the leaves, so that you do not wash the predator mites off the plant.

Storage and Delivery

• USE IMMEDIATELY: Predator mites are living organisms and cannot be stored for long. They must be hung on the plants immediately after receipt (the maximum storage time is 1–2 days in a cool, dark place).

• Cold weather: If the air temperature at the time of delivery is below +5°C, be sure to add a heating element to your order so that the mites do not freeze during transit.
