This extremely charming and miniature Promenaea 'Sunlight' is a true embodiment of spring and solar energy in your home! Unlike large and widely known orchids, this South American hybrid beauty stands out with its compact, delicate form and fabulous bright yellow flowers that literally shine like little sunbeams. Its light green leaves form a dense carpet, while the flower stalks often elegantly hang over the edge of the pot. CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. For the Promenaea to bloom splendidly, it needs good lighting, but it must be strictly protected from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will quickly burn and fade its delicate, thin leaves. An east or northwest-facing windowsill is an ideal choice.

• 💧 Watering: Regular and even. Unlike cattleyas or phalaenopsis, Promenaeas do not like prolonged dryness. Keep the substrate (fine orchid bark or sphagnum moss) evenly and lightly moist, but never let it soak in standing water! It is best to soak the pot in lukewarm water for a few minutes and then allow excess water to drain completely.

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives in moderate room temperature and requires increased air humidity. It will greatly benefit from a humidifier nearby or placement on a pebble tray with water. Water should only be misted into the air around the plant—try not to spray the leaves and flowers directly to avoid moisture accumulation in their crevices and prevent rot!

• 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly. This sunny and miniature orchid is non-toxic and completely safe in your home with curious cats and dogs.

🏠 BEST LOCATION:

• Plant display case or glass cabinet (an absolutely ideal environment where this delicate orchid can have stable humidity and protection from drafts).

• Bright bathroom with a window (if it has naturally elevated humidity and is not too hot or cold).

• Bright bedroom or shelf at eye level (where its miniature yellow flowers will be clearly visible and bring joy every day).

Promenaeas naturally grow as epiphytes on tree branches, so their roots vitally need air and a very loose substrate. After flowering, flower stalks can be carefully cut to help the plant conserve energy.
