CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Extremely adaptable! Although 'Silver Crown' will thrive best and maintain its silvery color most vividly in bright, indirect light (it will also appreciate morning or evening sun), this is one of the few plants that can survive for years and retain its shape in considerable shade or in rooms with artificial lighting.

• 💧 Watering: Extremely infrequent, minimal, and very careful! This plant is a desert succulent with substantial water reserves in its leaves. Water the plant thoroughly, but ONLY when the soil in the pot is completely, 100% dry all the way down to the bottom of the pot (when it is dry as dust)! In winter, watering can be reduced to as little as 1-2 times a month. The most important thing: NEVER pour water directly into the center of the rosette, to prevent the plant from rotting!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives comfortably at any room temperature (+18°C to +28°C). This plant tolerates dry indoor air with no problems at all, the heat of the heating season, and requires absolutely no misting. Keep it strictly away from cold and icy drafts (below +10°C).

• 🐾 Keep away from pets and children: Sansevierias are mildly toxic. They contain saponins, which, if parts of the plant are ingested, can cause drooling in dogs and cats, vomiting, and digestive upset.

You can’t kill this plant by letting it dry out, but you can rot it very quickly by watering it too often. If the firm leaves start to become soft at the base, flop over, or develop translucent, smelly spots - the plant is being drowned! Snake plants grow slowly and absolutely love cramped pots. Don’t rush to repot it until its fleshy, thick roots start physically deforming or splitting the plastic pot itself! When it’s time to repot, be SURE to use a special, sandy, highly porous cactus/succulent potting mix (mixed generously with gravel or perlite).
