This extremely gorgeous, elegantly flowering, and romantic Streptocarpus (a close and very popular relative of African violets or Saintpaulias) is a true windowsill gem! It stands out with long, green, and distinctly fuzzy (velvety) leaves, above which rise long, slender flower stalks with stunning orchid- or bell-like flowers in a wide variety of colors. Under the right conditions, this plant can bloom almost continuously from spring until late autumn! CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. For streptocarpus to continuously produce new flower buds, it needs quite a lot of light, but it must be strictly protected from direct, scorching midday sun rays, which will quickly burn its delicate and fuzzy leaves. An east or west-facing windowsill is absolutely ideal.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate and very careful. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between watering. The most important golden rule: since the leaves are covered with fine hairs, they tolerate contact with water very poorly! It is best to water the plant from below (pour room temperature water into a tray, let the plant drink for 15–20 minutes, then pour out any excess). Never let it sit in water for a long time!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives well at standard room temperature and tolerates normal indoor air. As mentioned regarding the fuzzy leaves, this plant must never be misted to avoid fungal diseases and leaf rot! Protect it from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

• 🐾 Pets: Pet-friendly. This delicate and flowering plant is non-toxic and completely safe in your home with curious cats and dogs.

🏠 BEST ROOM:

• Bright windowsill in the living room or bedroom (where bright but indirect light promotes long-lasting flowering).

• Bright desk (as a romantic and colorful accent that will always please the eyes).

• Bright kitchen (placed away from direct heat sources and drafts).

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and flower color may vary slightly from the description (flowers can be violet, white, pink, blue, or even bicolored). Important to know: to prevent the plant from wasting energy and to keep it looking neat, regularly and carefully remove dried flower stalks and old, damaged leaves (cutting them off at the base). When repotting, use very light and airy soil (you can add perlite or sphagnum moss) so the delicate roots can breathe freely.
