CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

• ☀️ Light: Bright but diffused light. To maintain its stunning pink color and grow compact, it needs a large amount of light! In too dark a place, it will quickly become leggy, and the leaves will lose their pink hue and turn simply green. However, protect it from very harsh midday sun rays, which will quickly burn the thin and colorful leaves. An east or west-facing windowsill is absolutely ideal.

• 💧 Watering: Moderate. Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Since the plant is in a very small (6 cm) pot, the soil will dry out much faster than in larger houseplants, so moisture levels need to be checked more often. When watering, be careful not to splash the leaves unnecessarily – tradescantias prefer to drink from below (by pouring water into the saucer). Their roots hate prolonged soaking in standing water!

• 🌡️ Temperature/Humidity: Thrives at standard room temperature and tolerates normal, dry indoor air well. This plant does not need misting, as excess moisture on the dense leaves can cause rot. Protect it strictly from cold drafts!

• 🐾 Pets: Not pet-friendly. The plant is toxic to cats and dogs. Its sap, if chewed, can cause oral and skin irritation, increased salivation, and mild digestive issues. Keep it out of reach of your pets!

🏠 BEST LOCATION:

• Bright desk or small shelf (thanks to its current mini size, it fits perfectly even on a densely cluttered desk and serves as a cheerful color accent during work).

• Bright and sunny windowsill (where there is enough light to maintain and further highlight the pink tones).

• Hanging pot in the future (when the little one grows, it will form a wonderful pink waterfall cascading over the pot edges).

⚠️ Note: Plants are living organisms, so each specimen and its pink color intensity may vary slightly from the description. Important to know: tradescantias are extremely fast-growing plants. Very soon (when the roots fill the small pot), the plant will need to be repotted into a slightly larger pot with airy soil. To prevent the plant from becoming leggy and to encourage bushier growth, pinch it – feel free to pinch or cut the branch tips! This will stimulate the plant to become bushier, and the cut pink cuttings can be quickly and easily rooted in a glass of water or directly in the soil next to the mother plant.
